Role of green energy technology on ecological footprint in China: Evidence from Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region

In order to investigate the impact of green energy technology on environmental sustainability China, take Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region as an example, this paper first calculates per capita ecological footprint (ef), carrying capacity (ec) and deficit (ed) China from 1990 2019 by using (EF) model, then uses expanded STIRPAT model Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression explore importance EF in region. It is found that ec much lower than ef 2019. always state deficit, sustainable development faced with severe challenges. Progress can significantly reduce The each factor different. degree dependence foreign trade urbanization rate are important influencing factors Beijing’s EF. Urbanization rate, GDP, population size, consumption unit GDP built-up area Tianjin Hebei. Therefore, Beijing, Hebei, it necessary accelerate progress technology, develop compact city change people’s patterns.
